Congressman Himes Help on Anthem’s Hack

One of Connecticut’s largest health insurers, Anthem, announced last week that the company’s computer systems were hacked in a major data breach that could affect as many as 80 million people nationwide. Anthem immediately contacted the FBI to launch an ongoing investigation. Information stolen in the breach included data about current and former customers: names, birthdays, medical IDs, Social Security numbers, street addresses, e-mail address, employment information and some income data. At this time, it does not appear that any credit card or medical records have been compromised.
