2:35am--#Bridgeport CT--Attempted burglary by a male and female in the 1300 block of Fairfield Avenue. The homeowner chased the male to the corner of Poplar Street. Police on the way.

Bridgeport News: Gun recovered man arrested after shots fired
7:38pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police arrest a bald male in a red t-shirt walking barefoot in the middle of Sylvan Avenue (near Wilkins Avenue) shooting a black firearm. Police apprehend the man and recover two firearms.
Fairfield News: Flame thought to be structure fire
6:33pm--#Fairfield CT--The "perpetual" flame at the water treatment plant on One Rod Highway was thought to be a structure fire on Fairfield Beach Road for a caller. Firefighters with binoculars confirmed it to be the flame from the water treatment plant.

5:11pm--#Stratford CT-Firefighters battling a garage fire at 460 Stonybrook Road. The garage is detached from the home.

Fairfield News: Road closure
2:15pm--#Fairfield CT-- Vermont Avenue is closed due to a sinkhole in the road. Aquarion is on the way for repairs.
Bridgeport News: Fire destroys home
6:21am--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters battled a 3 alarm fire at 520 Wayne Street this morning. Firefighters found the back and right side fully engulfed in flames on arrival. Firefighters immediately located all occupants, there were reports of a partial roof collapse into the second floor. There were no reported injuries. Special thanks to Garth Trotto in compiling this report. I hope they call Nutmeg Insurance Adjusters.........you don't think the insurance company is going to willingly pay for everything damaged do you?
