#Bridgeport, CT- As part of its preparation for accreditation as a local public health department, the Bridgeport Department of Health and Social Services is seeking input from residents of Bridgeport for its strategic plan. Listening sessions with the public are being held throughout the City during the month of June. Each session will provide a brief overview of the findings from the Community Needs Assessment followed by a discussion of community health priorities. Suggestions for the Health Department initiatives are welcome, as well as recommendations for addressing critical health concerns.
Each session will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.

#Norwalk CT–Norwalk Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred May 12, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at the First County Bank located at 700 Connecticut Avenue. The suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note, implying she had a gun. The suspect is described as a light skin black female, in her late twenties or early thirties, approximately 5’4”, stocky build with short black hair pulled behind her neck in a bun or ponytail. The suspect was wearing black framed glasses and a blue Walmart employee vest. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Norwalk Detective Bureau at 203-854-3011 or Detective Serio at 203-854-3188. Anonymous tips can be left at any of the below contacts.
1:41am–#Bridgeport CT– Police caught one burglar after a brief foot pursuit and tasing at 555 Bostwick Avenue which Google says is Stamford Wrecking. A hole was cut into the fence. One person is still at large and K-9 from Stratford is on the way to help track him.
