UPDATE: A police report said a 9-year-old student had run out into the road and into the path of a southbound vehicle as she was trying to catch her school bus that stopped on Pinehurst Street.  The striking vehicle was driving around a Greater Bridgeport Transit bus that had stopped for passengers at the same location.    The child has a leg injury.  No charges have been filed but the investigation continues.

 

8:15am–#Trumbull CT– A Middlebury Elementary School student was crossing Main Street at Pinehurst Road when she was struck by a car.  Dr. Gary Cialfi, Superintendent of Schools messaged parents that there are no life-threatening injuries and that police are investigating the circumstances to the accidents.
