On 03/04/16, at approximately 9:00pm, the victim and another male of this incident approached 2 officers in the area of 176 Post Road West stating they needed help and that Jose Correaattacked them. Correa was reportedly following the victim on Route 15, and continued to follow the victim off exit 41. When the victim’s vehicle came to as stop at a traffic light on Wilton Road, Correa exited his vehicle and jumped on the hood of the victim’s vehicle, smashing the windshield. Correa then fled the scene. Officers were able to contact Correa by cell phone and he met police on Post Road West where he was taken into custody. Online Parks and Recreation Program Registration to Begin on March 14 Parks and Recreation Director Jen Fava announced today that online spring and summer program registration will begin Monday, March 14, at 9 a.m. Walk in, fax and mailed registration, as well as continuing online registration, will begin on Monday, March 21 at the Parks and Recreation Sales Office at Longshore (260 Compo Road South) during regular business hours. Westport Police Department Swears in Three New Officers

#Westport CT--On Monday, March 7, 2016 the Westport Police Department welcomed three new officers to its ranks. These officers fill the vacancies created by the retirements of three long-time officers at the end of 2015. The ceremony took place in the Westport Police Department classroom, where First Selectman Jim Marpe administered the oath of office to each of them. The following individuals were sworn in: Michael Morrin joins the department after a career with the Orange, CT Police Department.
