His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representatives Jim Himes (CT-04) and Scott Garrett (NJ-05), Chairman of the Committee on Financial Services’ Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises, introduced the Multistate Worker Tax Fairness Act. This bill will prevent the over-taxation of individuals who telework in one state for companies located in another.  Connecticut Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy are introducing companion legislation in the Senate. The number of Americans telecommuting and working from home at least part-time has increased with technological advancements. Fairfield News: Smoke Condition In High Density Apartment

1:49pm--#Fairfield Connecticut--Firefighters are on scene at 130 Fairchild Avenue high density apartment building investigating a smoke condition on the first floor.  A few months ago sprinklers save a fire in the building.  Community members have warned the dangers of the 54 unit building on a dead end becoming an issue of congestion should firefighters and emergency workers will have on the dead end street.
