First responders were at a crash on I-95 northbound near exit 25 involving a tractor-trailer and a car. The truck has lost its side fuel tank, spilling onto the roadway, and DEEP called to the scene. No word on injuries. 2026-07-14@11:00am-- #Fairfield CT #cttraffic
A car crashed into a building on Madison Ave by Ashton Street in Bridgeport. According to witnesses, the driver was attempting to race another vehicle, when she lost control, smashed through a stone wall, and vaulted up onto the side of a building. According to witnesses, the driver, with an approx. 8 year old child and two others all got out of the car. Firefighters quickly secured the car, preventing any further damage to the building or surrounding area, where the car was then lowered via crane. According to unconfirmed radio reports at least 2 patients were treated for their injuries.
Norwalk Firefighters are on the scene of a 3 alarm fire on Stuart Avenue. According to unconfirmed radio reports everyone safely made it out of the home. Bridgeport firefighters responded at 8:14 p.m. after a tenant improperly mixed household chemicals inside an apartment on Hope Street, creating a strong chemical odor and a light cloud, according to Assistant Fire Chief Ellis. The building was evacuated, and three civilians were being evaluated by EMS. State environmental officials were also called to the scene.
A three-car crash with entrapment at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Shelton Road/Route 110 in Monroe injured six people, including one person who was trapped in a vehicle. Mutual aid from surrounding towns was requested as crews worked to treat the injured and free the trapped occupant. Firefighters were called to the 200 block of Sheridan Street in Bridgeport around 9:00pm on July 4th for a building fire. Deputy Chief Cody said companies arrived to find heavy fire in the rear of the building. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack, knocked down the main body of the fire, and remained on scene for extensive overhaul, chasing hot spots throughout the building to make sure the fire was completely out. Cody said the crews had already been busy and were working in warm conditions, but were being rehabbed on scene. Report of a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV on Chopsey Hill Road by Island Brook Ave. Ext. The motorcyclist flipped up onto the car, and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. There is no information on his condition at this time.
