#Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 8, 2014 – Detectives charged a suspect in connection with a 2011 shooting that killed a 20-year-old man. Detective Jason Ferri secured an arrest warrant charging Tavaris Daniels, 23, with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal discharge of a firearm. He had been jailed on unrelated charges and was arraigned on Friday. Bond was set at $1 million. Ferri and Detective Vincent Lariccia investigated the case. A witness identified Daniels as the gunman who shot and killed Dayquan Henry, 20, on Dec. 21, 2011, at 594 Newfield Ave. just after midnight. #Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 5, 2014 – Bridgeport Police detectives arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with the armed robbery of CT Auto Inc. The incident happened on Aug. 28, 2014, at 7 Wayne St. Detectives secured video from the establishment showing the armed suspect and released it to the public and inside the department. Through assistance from the community, Detective Chris Borona was able to identify the suspect as Marcus Pleasant, 23, whose last known address was on Garfield Avenue in Bridgeport. Detectives went to his home Thursday and he acknowledged his role in the robbery. Additional arrests are expected.
