9:50pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police have one person detained for making a false 911 call. The caller said someone was shot in a parking lot off upper Main Street. The phone was traced, the owner loaned the phone to his "friend" and they tracked him outside Merritt Canteen.
6:22pm--#cttraffic--Route 8 northbound between exits 18 and 19 is a multi-car accident with injuries.
3:06pm--#Derby CT--#cttraffic --A two car crash with injuries in front of the Quick Stop Shell at 280 Roosevelt Drive Route 34. First responders on the way.
3:22am--Oxford CT--Multiple fire departments at a two alarm structure fire at 87 Thorson Road. Heavy fire in a 2 story home. Firefighters acquiring water from a pond source, reporting icing on the roads and asking for sand trucks. Tankers are on scene and filling up. UPDATE---Possible building collapse on the left or chimney side.

First Selectman Jim Marpe and the Registrars of Voters will welcome two new voters on March 6, at 4 p.m. in Westport Town Hall Room 309. At that time, two eligible Staples High School seniors will register to vote using the online voter registration system. The public is invited to attend. (HARTFORD, CT) – On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will speak at a conference in Hartford on the benefits of Open Data. Last month, Governor Malloy signed an executive order requiring the creation of the Connecticut Open Data Portal, which will result in widespread amounts of raw government data to be collected, placed on the internet, and shared with the public in a major effort to increase transparency and provide a useful database that can be utilized by residents for any number of purposes.
