DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport News: Copper Caper

#Bridgeport, CT – Sept 24, 2014 –  Detectives are seeking information about the possible theft of a large amount of industrial  or commercial-grade copper wiring. Police responded to Martin Terrace in Bridgeport on Sept. 20, 2014, on a report of suspicious activity and discovered three people using commercial wire cutters to strip the insulation off of copper wiring. The individuals told police that they found the wiring in an open dumpster. The individuals stated they could not recall the location of the dumpster or the town in which it located. Bridgeport News: Man Shot In The Chest
