DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

#Bridgeport, CT – Sept 24, 2014 –  Detectives are seeking information about the possible theft of a large amount of industrial  or commercial-grade copper wiring. Police responded to Martin Terrace in Bridgeport on Sept. 20, 2014, on a report of suspicious activity and discovered three people using commercial wire cutters to strip the insulation off of copper wiring. The individuals told police that they found the wiring in an open dumpster. The individuals stated they could not recall the location of the dumpster or the town in which it located. Police are seeking information from any business that has a theft of a large quantity of industrial copper wire. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Keith Bryant at 203-581-5239. #Fairfield CT--I love reporting on new businesses opening in our area but I truly enjoy it when their product is as delicious as the Red Mango at 1955 Black Rock Turnpike.  I've tried the other high priced yogurt shop on the other side of town but the Red Mango is not just superior in taste and quality but also in price.  I'm a meat and potato kind of guy, sucking smoothies really isn't something I do let alone yogurt.  The Red Mango really makes healthy delicious.   Many items can be sampled before purchase.  Stop by, they are in the Shop Rite Plaza.  The Oreo yogurt was outstanding and the pomegranate yogurt was soooo refreshing!  Tell them we sent ya!…
