Trumbull News: Hostage Situation

Trumbull Police UPDATE – 7:00 p.m.: Trumbull Police have resolved the incident at the “Royce of Trumbull” apartment complex, located on Old Town Road in Trumbull. Shortly before 1:00 p.m. today, Trumbull Police were notified by another law enforcement agency that a woman was being held hostage inside one of the Royce apartments by a man who was armed with a weapon. Police checked the information provided and learned that the male was also a fugitive.   Trumbull Police, assisted by the Southwest Regional Emergency Response Team, closed the apartment complex and established a perimeter around the building in the Royce complex. Military Cadets Commemorate 9/11 Anniversary

#Bridgeport, CT – As the nation and world commemorated the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, The Bridgeport Military Academy joined organizations and individuals across the country to remember and honor the thousands of innocent men, women, and children killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001.   The event was planned by cadets of the Civil Air Patrol program from the Stratford Eagles Composite Squadron.  There was a ceremony held during morning formation at BMA where the names of those who perished in the attacks on 9/11, from the State of Connecticut, were read aloud. Bridgeport News: Lots Of Heroism At Fire

4:36pm--#Bridgeport CT-- There was a lot of heroism at a fire at 235 Remington Street. EMS from Amercian Medical Response (AMR) was first on the scene reporting a heavy fire. According to radio reports, they helped get the occupants from the building including an elderly resident with asthma out safely. Firefighters quickly knocked down the bulk of the fire. Firefighters did two searches of the home and confirmed human made it out of the building. Firefighters rescued a dog and a cat that were overwhelmed by smoke, they performed CPR and saved both of them. They also rescued a family of turtles and a reptile that looked like a lizard or gecko (sorry, my reptile identification is not that great). The fire…
