Radio reports say the mother attempted to run her children over in the parking lot. She may be drinking according to witnesses. Police are investigating. #Bridgeport, Conn. (September 23, 2015) – Yesterday afternoon the Bridgeport Police Department arrested a Bridgeport man for illegal possession of a firearm after a routine traffic stop. On September 22, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. police officers observed a grey Subaru station wagon on Fairfield Ave. with a broken brake light. Police officers ran the license plate and found that the plate was registered to a Honda Civic, not the Subaru. Police officers pulled the Subaru over on Laurel Ave. near the intersection with Norman St. The driver, Josue Chavarria (08/26/90), was unable to provide valid registration or insurance papers for the vehicle. Police officers had Chavarria step out of the vehicle and detained him in the back of the police…
