1:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police and a postal inspector are investigating an incident where a postal worker was struck by a car on Newfield Avenue after a dispute over mail according to radio reports. The postal worker did get a plate number of the striking car which comes back to an address on Union Avenue. The postal worker was not hurt and refused treatment accord to the radio report.

Bridgeport News: Man Shot At Trumbull Gardens
11:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Despite having a walking detail in place at Trumbull Gardens a man was shot at 440 Trumbull Avenue, Trumbull Gardens. In fact it was the detail's sergeant who radioed in the call of the shooting. Police told me the man was shot in the chest. A large, upset crowd gathered and police called in all available officers as well as mutual aid from Trumbull. EMS took the man to St. Vincent's Hospital, his condition is unknown at this time.
