2:02pm--#Fairfield CT--A man hit an SUV on North Benson Road near Fairfield University and fled. An officer on patrol and saw the car flee at a high rate of speed and pursued him only to get a plate number then broke the pursuit off. The driver then fled north on North Benson Road and attempted to hide in a yard on Mailands Road until the homeowner approached him and scared him off.
