Bridgeport Police Need Your Help

Bridgeport Police believe this male is responsible for a commercial robbery at 233 North Ave, Checkers Convenience Store in Bridgeport. He was driving a truck, pictured in the attached photos. The truck has a unique dent on the driver's side. We do not believe this male is local to Bridgeport and could possibly from the Naugatuck Valley area up the route 8 corridor, past Waterbury. Anyone with any information related to this individual is asked to call 203-576-TIPS (8477) - tips can also be left anonymously.

Norwalk News: Burglary Suspect

Norwalk Detectives are investigating a vehicle burglary that occurred during the overnight hours of September 13, 2017 on Osborne Avenue. A credit card was stolen from the vehicle and was later used at CVS on Connecticut Avenue. The pictured suspect sued the stolen credit card to buy gift cards on September 15, 2017 at 7:53 am. Westport News: EMS Granted $35k Grant

Westport, Connecticut – Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service has been awarded a $35,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman. Newman’s Own Foundation made the award to celebrate 35 years since Paul Newman began the food company bearing his name. Westport Volunteer EMS is one of the original recipients of Newman’s generosity. Westport News: Undocumented Pharmacist Arrested

In August of this year, the Westport Police Department received two separate anonymous tips that narcotics were being sold out of a Saugatuck Avenue residence by a male known as Josiah or “JoJo”. The Westport Detective Bureau initiated an investigation and conducted surveillance on the residence. The suspect was identified as Josiah Alicea, 18, of that address. On three separate occasions, persons leaving the residence were found to be in possession of marijuana. On September 15, 2017, a search warrant was executed on the home. Upon arrival, officers found Alicea smoking marijuana in the presence of two juveniles. Detectives seized marijuana, scales, packaging materials, two BB guns and $1246 in cash.
