8:39pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A two car crash in front of the Famous Fifties Diner in the four hundred block of Huntington Turnpike send two the hospital. One car sideswiped a house at 453 Huntington Turnpike, the driver of the black car did not report any injuries but there were injured in the Volvo and were transported to the hospital. The road was closed for a short period of time.
5:44pm--#Westport CT-- Police were first on the scene of a fire at 12 Woods Grove Road and they had trouble getting the residents to evacuate according to radio reports. A fire in the fireplace extended into the walls and has now spread to a crawl space. Norwalk and Fairfield are providing mutual aid. This report is made possible by:
3:33pm--#cttraffic--#Westport CT--A 3 car crash requiring firefighters to extricated the victims from the cars near exit 17 northbound on I-95. Two on the way to local hospitals, a second ambulance has been requested to the scene. Traffic is very backed up, take alternative route if you can.
UPDATE: I spoke to police who said it was a Fairfield Warde Student robbed. The robber lifted his shirt to show the butt of a gun but did not pull it out. 2:11pm--#Fairfield Connecticut--A person walking on Knapps Highway was robbed of their cellphone at gunpoint according to witnesses police said. This happened at the time students from Warde High School were walking home from school. The police shift commander did not know if it was a student. 1:40pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A driver of a ticketed SUV allegedly struck a Bridgeport Police Parking Enforcement Officer this afternoon on Wheeler Avenue at the intersection of Madison Avenue (next to Micalizzi's Italian Ice (I can't wait for them to open!)). The driver of the vehicle was upset at receiving a ticket and allegedly struck the officer in the chest and then in the arm knocking his ticket machine to the ground. The SUV was making it difficult for trucks to pull onto Wheeler Avenue being over two feet fromo the curb. The SUV only ticketed for parking too close to the curb and crosswalk. 11:40pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Car thieves apparently said "Open Sesame" and stole the 2007 BMW owned by Ali Baba Bail Bonds at 1273 North Avenue while it was parked at Center Street and North Avenue according to police radio reports. This report is made possible by:
9:56pm--#Fairfield Connecticut-- L.C. Chen's at 303 Tunxis Hill Cut Off received a call for a take out order. They recognized the phone number and address as a previous snatch and grab robbery in the past. They called police. Within minutes police had the area surrounded with officers hidden from sight. Just as before, as the delivery person was about to make the delivery the two men allegedly snatched the bag but this time police took off after them with K9 as well (K9 loves fast food, aka running suspects). One took off and was captured on Berwick Avenue, the other on Brentwood Avenue as seen in the photo.
7:02pm--#cttraffic--#Fairfield Connecticut-- A report of a car into a tree at Tanglewood and Black Rock Turnpike. Police are closing the Route 58 Black Rock Turnpike at the Hi-Ho Motel. I know they are in good hands with our first responders, let's hope they are in good hands with insurance!
12:22pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--An armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Arlington Street and Lincoln Avenue. Police are looking for a black male and a Hispanic male, both in their teens, both wearing hoodies. One was wearing a camouflaged jacket (don't ask me how the saw him...). On 03/29/16, at approximately 8:00pm, Westport Officers were dispatched to two locations on reports of unattended children. Officers located a 5 year old juvenile at Walgreens, 880 Post Road East, assisted by a woman who found the juvenile alone. Officers also located a 1 year old juvenile in the area of Toyota of Westport, 777 Post Road East. The 1 year old was found by a group of adults in the area. This was by the same woman. Officers determined the juveniles were siblings with a home address of 655 Post Road East. Officers located the juvenile’s mother, Natalie Bonny, at her residence. Bonny stated she left the children home alone to take the bus to go shopping. Bonny was taken into custody and charged with Risk…
