Stratford News: Murder Investigation
On 08-13- 2017 shortly after midnight a shooting occurred on the street in front of 1854 North Avenue. The shooting followed what appeared to be a verbal argument. One 27 year old female victim was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital. A 24 year old male victim is listed as critical as the result of a gun shot wound. The incident is still under investigation and police are trying to identify the shooter(s). The shooting is an isolated incident and there is nor further danger at the scene. North Avenue was closed for several hours as a result of the shooting and subsequent investigation.
