Video Report–Three Fairfield University Students Rescued From Long Island Sound
@FairfieldU--Firefighters from Fairfield rescued three Fairfield University students who drifted about one and a half miles from land Assistant Fire Chief Scott Bisson told me. He said they were very lucky to have made cellphone contact to rescues workers. The women were able to stay on the line and remained calm, assisting in helping locate them. Cellphone reception at sea can be very spotty. At first it was thought they were at the point near St. Mary's by the Sea and drifting out. The gusty winds quickly blew them further out past the lighthouse. None of the students were wearing any life preservers. There were no injuries.

5:01pm--#Southport Connecticut--#Fairfield Connecticut-- The owner of this roofing truck really needs to visit our sponsor Nick's Automotive Technology at 531 Tunxis Hill Road for new brakes. The driver told me he lost the brakes coming down the hill on Prospect Lane while towing a trailer when he hit 281 Pequot Avenue. There were no injuries.

Suicidal Man Threatens Trumbull School
2:43pm--#Trumbull Connecticut--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Bridgeport Police assisted Trumbull Police on Village Lane looking for a suicidal man who threatened to "shoot up St. Joseph School" according to numerous radio reports. The man lives on Village Lane and so do his parents. Both homes were checked but police did not find the man. It was then thought the man was boarded a city bus so Bridgeport Police pulled over city buses in the are surrounding area but they did not locate him. It was thought he may have been a the bus station at the Trumbull Mall but there was no police activity when I arrived. The radios have gone quiet on this call and I don't believe he has been…

Police Investigate Missing Person/Abduction
10:31am--#Bridgeport Connecticut--#Stamford Connecticut--Stamford Police and Bridgeport Police are on scene at 305 Chamberlain Street, Bridgeport (off Chopsey Hill Road) for a possible abduction/missing person. Stamford Police said the woman at the residence allegedly stabbed the male at the residence in the leg while in Stamford yesterday. A neighbor told me he wasn't surprised to see police there as there have been previous domestic fights there in the past. When police arrived they found the family vehicle and the front door open. No one answered the door when they knocked. K-9 was requested to the scene. A short time later the woman answered the door but was not cooperating with police.
