#Stratford Connecticut--Robert Keith Abel age 54 was arrested and charged with Robbery 2 nd , Larceny 4 th ,Larceny 2 nd and Attempted Robbery for his involvement in an attempted robbery at theWalgreens Pharmacy and a bank robbery at Webster Bank. The incidents occurred at approximately 1245 pm and 1 pm respectively.Abel was held on bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 02-28- 2017. (Stratford Police Press Release)

The Fix It First Proposal was unveiled this week, an alternative to the Board of Education capital improvements plan. Both of the plans now under discussion attempt to address the challenges of overcrowding and deterioration. The Board’s plan prioritizes new classroom spaces with infrastructure and existing classroom improvements to follow, and the Fix It First plan prioritizes infrastructure and existing classroom improvements, and then school construction to follow. We in the Norwalk Federation of Teachers have felt dismay as the district’s plan ran into difficulties when the educational programs were selected, announced and not embraced. Both plans will need adjustment, but we need to move forward. Norwalk students deserve safe, welcoming, healthy environments without the distractions of mold, leaks, crumbling asbestos…
10:18pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A man in a gray Land Rover flashed a handgun to a passing motorist near exit 18 northbound. Fairfield Police caught up with the suspect near exit 19. They followed him and did not attempt to pull him over 25 until enough units were in place. The man pulled over at exit 25 without incident. Police said they recovered a handgun. The man was turned over to State Police. This news report is made possible by:
10:04pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Police located and pursued a stolen white Lexus earlier this afternoon but broke off the pursuit. Just after 10pm police located the same vehicle and attempted to pull it over. The car attempted to flee and engages police in a very short pursuit before the stolen car crashed into a car parked at the corner of Oak and Grand Street. Police quickly had both suspects in custody. One of the suspects was transported to the hospital for facial injuries suffered when his face hit the windshield.
