Fairfield News: House Fire
4:19pm--#Fairfield Connecticut-- There were no injuries and no one at home at this house fire on Longfellow Avenue. When the call came over the scanner I knew it was close. I ran to the scene with my camera, set it up and ran to the house with another person who kicked in the door. I yelled fire in the front as he ran to the back, we were relieved no one was inside. I then directed traffic to get the cars off the road so that firefighters could get their trucks to the scene. Assistant Fire Chief Scott Bisson said it appears the fire had started on the back deck.
