2:52am--#Bridgeport CT--Report of a truck hitting a pole in front of the BMW dealership at 43 North Avenue and the driver is trying to flee.  Reports say citizens are holding down the driver and utility pole is down in the middle of North Avenue.  This picture was taken just past Capitol Avenue on North Avenue.  The collision took place in front of the BMW Dealership near Boston Avenue.  Popeye's Chicken continued to provide drive up service despite having no power.   Always first on DoingItLocal.com.  No need for an expensive cable subscription to get your local news!

Bridgeport News: Another Salesperson Assaults A Customer

7:15pm--#Bridgeport CT--Detectives are investigating a shooting incident on Reservoir Avenue tonight. The shooting happened at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the area of Reservoir Avenue and Alba Avenue. Police located the victim, who is approximately 23, and a male acquaintance a short distance away. Neither man man lives in Bridgeport. The victim resides in Monroe. He was wounded in the shoulder and will recover.
