Malloy today announced that as the result of a new law he signed last year, Connecticut’s minimum wage is scheduled to increase from the current rate of $9.15 an hour to $9.60 per hour onJanuary 1, 2016. #Westport CT-- On Monday December 28th, 2015, Michael Collins, (age 29) turned himself in at the Westport Police Department after learning that there was an active warrant for his arrest. The arrest stems from a lengthy investigation into allegations that Collins, a lifeguard at the time, had placed mini cameras in a place of work that he shared with fellow employees. On August 14th, 2015, the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau was contacted by the Westport Parks and Recreation. Parks and Recreation Administration reported that two cameras were found inside the lifeguard shack at Burying Hill Beach in Westport. During the investigation it was learned that the cameras were placed inside the employee room by Collins. The investigating Detectives noted that the cameras were set up to video…
