11:02pm--#Bridgeport CT--Security at University of Bridgeport alerted police on patrol of a fire on the 5th floor of Bodine Hall at 80 University Avenue. The hall was evacuated. Firefighters found it to be popcorn burning in a microwave oven. (January 28, 2015) – Today, Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch ended the city’s snow emergency, which means parking in the city will go back to normal.   “We prepared for the worst, and hoped for the best. We had more equipment than ever before and utilized new technology. The result was a success.
