Middletown, CT (October 28, 2015) - On April 23, 2015 Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Hartford Police Department, executed a search and seizure warrant at 110 South St. in Hartford as part of an on-going child pornography investigation.State Police detectives initiated the investigation after receiving information that the accused, Tyler Kozak (a.k.a. TylerElster-Kozak), shared a link containing visual depictions of suspected child pornography.   Through the course of the investigation, detectives obtained a search and seizure warrant from the superior court.  Upon conducting the search, detectives seized laptop computers, memory devices, a cell phone, tablet and 8mm tape. During the forensic examinations of the seized items numerous Images and videos of suspected child pornography were located.…

UPDATE: Bridgeport Police Department Investigates Non-Fatal Shooting Incident

#Bridgeport, Conn. (October 28, 2015) -- Today, the Bridgeport Police Department is reporting that a second victim was wounded as part of a shooting that took place last night on Washington Ave. near the corner of Highland Ave.   The second victim, a 27 year-old male, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his legs. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle. He is in stable condition.   Background: On October 27, 2015 at approximately 7:15 p.m., police officers responded to a call regarding shots fired on Washington Ave. near the corner of Highland Ave.  Upon arrival, police officers found one victim, a 22 year-old male, suffering from one gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital…

Stratford News: Industrial Fire

10:10pm--#Stratford CT-- Firefighters were dispatched to 125 Ontario Street for an industrial fire in a dryer room according to radio reports. A Google search says this is Cray Valley Inc. which deals with plastics and popolymers according to their website. Firefighters arrived and found heavy fire on the roof and had it quickly knocked down and spent only about a half hour extinguishing the bulk of the fire. Four workers were evacuated and checked by EMS. Firefighters have called the Hazmat Team in for decontamination. They also called in the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection and the fire marshal to investigate. A recall was sounded around 11:30pm. There are no reported injuries.
