Detectives Arrest Suspect in Robbery

(Bridgeport, CT – June 11, 2014) – A city man faces robbery and assault charges after he lured a co-worker to a location in Bridgeport on a promise to sell him auto parts and instead robbed him gunpoint. Detectives Chris Borona and Sean Ronan obtained a statement from a 22-year-old Stratford man who stated that a co-worker he knows as “Javon” agreed to sell him auto parts for a vehicle for $800. The two work together at a Westport business. Javon later was identified as Javon Oden, 21, of Bridgeport. The robbery was reported shortly after midnight on Sunday. The victim stated he called Javon late on Saturday and arranged to meet in Bridgeport to buy the auto parts. He brought $800 in cash…

Merritt Parkway Is Closed At Exit 52

#cttraffic--#Stratford CT--A crash has the Merritt Parkway northbound closed near exit 52.  Fortunately all were belted in, one person is in and out of consciousness after hitting their head.   It sounds like the Merritt is closed in both direction since they are sending ambulances down the wrong way direction of the highway to get them to the scene.

Stratford News: Babysitter Not Returning Baby

6:16pm--#Stratford CT--Another unusual call, this time in Stratford where a woman is telling police that she dropped off her baby at the babysitter this morning.  She doesn't remember the address but the babysitter is not returning the baby now......There have been no updates and no missing child calls since the broadcast. The unusual calls are ramping up today.  Statistics don't support any unusual increase in call on a full moon.  I've been saying this for two years now it is the days leading up to the full moon NOT the full moon.  We shall see....
