Representative Hwang along with Fairfield 1st responders worked with the Dept. of Public Health Commissioner Jewel Mullen, legislative and medical advisors to allow all trained first responders to carry Naloxone – commonly known as Narcan, a non-addictive drug that binds to and blocks opiate receptors, temporarily reversing the effects of heroin overdose. #Bridgeport, CT - July 10, 2014 -- On Thursday, July 10, 2014, the United States Marshals Service and Bridgeport Police Department conducted a joint operation to locate and apprehend non-compliant sex offenders in the Bridgeport area. The operation targeted approximately 40 individuals that had arrest warrants from Bridgeport Police Department for Failure to Register as Sex Offender, Failure to Verify Addresses as a Sex Offender, Sexual Assault, Violation of Probation. The operation resulted in the arrest of 26 individuals.
