Although not a local story many of our local heroes use their equipment.  The website sconfire.com is reporting that the fire equipment manufacturer American LaFrance has closed its doors  in three Pennsylvania plants – Moncks Corner, Pimlico and Ephrata.  American LaFrance filed for bankruptcy protection in 2008.   The company told its employees not to return to work next week and that they have reached out to their parent company Patriarch Partners.   Approximately 150 employees are now out of work, three days after the last fire truck was delivered.

#Bridgeport CT–Police shutdown the sports bar located at  1394 Park Avenue tonight.  It is unknown if it was operating legally, it was shutdown October 18th, 2013.

11:20pm–#Ansonia CT–Report of a structure fire at 6 Mead Circle.  Firefighters on the way.  11:33pm–Update–Fire has been knocked down.  No occupants have been located.  11:37pm–Homeowner located.

10:24pm–#Bridgeport CT–Report of a structure fire at 756 Ruth Street.  Firefighters on the way.  UPDATE–Firefighters find nothing but at least you know why the fire trucks were there for!

9:46pm–#Bridgeport CT–#cttraffic–Report of a rollover accident Route 8/25 southbound near exit 2.  State police reporting the occupants have fled the scene.
