Child on scooter hit by SUV

  2:29pm--#Fairfield CT--A child was struck by an SUV while riding a motorized scooter on Castle Avenue Thursday afternoon. Witnesses told me the boy was riding on the sidewalk when he turned into the road and hit the SUV. An adult was seen walking the motorized scooter from the scene, he said the child was not seriously injured. The scooter did not seem to have much damage but the SUV had damage to the driver's front quarter panel.

2:28pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a child that was just admitted to the emergency room at Bridgeport Hospital for a drug overdose. The child lives in the 1400 block of Stratford Avenue. There are no further details if this was accidental or even age of the child. If we get any updates we will of course pass it on to you.

Shots fired during robbery officers injured

(Bridgeport, CT – April 18, 2013) – Three people were in custody in connection with a commercial burglary on Main Street in the City’s North End Thursday. The initial alarm for 4173 Main St. was received at 3:15 a.m. The first officer arrived on scene at 3:18 a.m. When police first arrived, officers observed a white Cadillac in the alleyway. Also, the alarm company had contacted the owner of the AT&T store and reported an activation. The owner had remote access to view from his home feeds to the store security cameras and he relayed, through 911 operators, valuable real-time accounts of what was transpiring.
