Robbery at Spark City
Report of a robbery at Spark City Smoke & Vape at 815 Lafayette Blvd in Bridgeport, right across the street from State Police Troup G HQ. There is one suspect in custody according to unconfirmed radio reports.
Burglary Investigations
Bridgeport Police are investigating a commercial burglary in the 1300 block of Central Avenue and, earlier, a residential burglary in the 300 block of Granfield Avenue. There are no further details.
2 AM Assault with weapon reported
At approximately 2:00 am, The Bridgeport ECC received a call reporting blood in a hallway and Bridgeport police were dispatched to the 140 block of Cowles Street. Bridgeport Hospital confirmed that a victim with a cut on the arm had self-transported to the hospital. There is no further information at this time as the Department investigates. No arrests have been made.
Bridgeport Burglary
Report of a residential burglary at the 300 block of Bond Street in Bridgeport. Police are investigating, there is no more info at this time.
Police respond to shots fired
Police responded to the area of the 10 block of Highland Ave for a report of shots fired. According to Police, 21 shots were fired. There are no reported injuries at this time.
Residential Burglary
Report of a residential burglary which occurred around the 300 block of Bond Street in Bridgeport, earlier today around 3 PM. Bridgeport police are currently investigating.
3 Suffer Graze Wounds In Bridgeport Shootings
At approximately 12:15 a.m., Bridgeport police responded to Stone Ridge Road for a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, one victim was located with a non-life-threatening graze wound. At approximately 12:27 a.m., a second victim was located with a non-life-threatening graze wound. A third victim was located at approximately 2:42 a.m. on Trumbull Avenue, also with a non-life-threatening graze wound. No arrests have been made, and the department is investigating further.
STRING OF BURGLARIES HIT BRIDGEPORT
Over the past day, yesterday, August 31st, at around 8:00AM two commercial buildings at the 700 block of South Ave and the 500 block of North Ridgefield Ave and two residential buildings, one at 3 PM, the 100 block of Deforest Ave and one at around 9 PM at the 1600 block of Fairfield Ave, were all burglarized.
Early Morning Stabbing
At approximately 6:44am, Bridgeport police responded to Bass Pro Shops to report of a stabbing. A male party was stabbed in the chest and transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. The responsible person was taken into custody.
