Police responded to the area of the 10 block of Highland Ave for a report of shots fired. According to Police, 21 shots were fired. There are no reported injuries at this time.
Report of a residential burglary which occurred around the 300 block of Bond Street in Bridgeport, earlier today around 3 PM. Bridgeport police are currently investigating.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., Bridgeport police responded to Stone Ridge Road for a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, one victim was located with a non-life-threatening graze wound. At approximately 12:27 a.m., a second victim was located with a non-life-threatening graze wound. A third victim was located at approximately 2:42 a.m. on Trumbull Avenue, also with a non-life-threatening graze wound. No arrests have been made, and the department is investigating further.
Over the past day, yesterday, August 31st, at around 8:00AM two commercial buildings at the 700 block of South Ave and the 500 block of North Ridgefield Ave and two residential buildings, one at 3 PM, the 100 block of Deforest Ave and one at around 9 PM at the 1600 block of Fairfield Ave, were all burglarized.
At approximately 6:44am, Bridgeport police responded to Bass Pro Shops to report of a stabbing. A male party was stabbed in the chest and transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. The responsible person was taken into custody.
