Two Men Charged With Illegal Possession of an Assault Weapon
#Bridgeport CT – Dec. 3, 2013- – Police arrested two men who were on probation after discovering an assault rifle and a high-capacity magazine in their North Avenue apartment.
Bridgeport Police assisted the state Office of Adult Probation Monday in conducting a “compliance check” on the residence of Giovanni Candelario, 20, who is on supervised release. A relative, Ramon Candelario, 23, who also resides at that address, also is on supervised release.
According to Detective Sanford Dowling, authorities recovered the SKS 7.62 X 39mm rifle inside a closet behind a furnace duct blower. Also recovered was a 100-round magazine that contained 95 .233-caliber rounds. Authorities recovered other weapon-related items.
Both men were charged with criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of an assault weapon. Their bonds were set at $100,000 each.

1 Of The White Gloved Bandits Arrested Tonight
10:27pm–#Stratford CT–#Bridgeport CT–Just before 10:30 Tuesday night the I&I Food Store located at 1796 Barnum Avenue was robbed by what police call the White Gloved Bandits because well, they both wear all black except for white gloves. The duo have been terrorizing and robbing businesses in Bridgeport and just recently in Stratford for a couple of months now.
Outstanding coordination by both Stratford and Bridgeport Police and detectives had an arrest by 11pm. The suspect was arrested outside 272 Benham Avenue in Bridgeport.
Chromebook Robbery at Burger King
#Bridgeport CT–Police are looking for a six foot white male with a beard who robbed a person of their Google Chromebook at the Burger King at 193 Boston Avenue. No weapon was displayed.
Man wandering in backyards
9:02pm–#Bridgeport CT–Reports of a man wandering into backyards in the Wayne and Amsterdam Street area.

6:18pm–#Bridgeport CT–A woman was assaulted by a known person with no fingers in the 300 block of Nobel Avenue…..
Tied up and robbed
12:28pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are on scene, a man in the 100 block of Fairfield Avenue is telling police he was beaten, tied up and robbed. Police are investigating.
Child drinks bleach
8:11pm–#Bridgeport CT–EMS and police on scene on Whittier Street for a 16 month old who may have drank bleach.
Fire displaces family
7:33pm–#Bridgeport CT–A fire in the 700 block of Arctic Street was quickly knocked down by the fire department. Damage to the apartment coupled with loss of electricity displaces the family. Red Cross assisting them.
