2023-01-19@11:30PMish– A witness who was one of the first on the scene said there were multiple gunshots and a man was hit multiple times on Priscilla Lane. The man’s condition is not known at this time. He also told me that the shooter is still at large.
8:41pm–#Stratford CT–The Subway at 1140 Main Street was just robbed at gunpoint by a Hispanic male, medium build, about 5’10” wearing a black winter cap and a black and green jacket. Unknown if he fled in a vehicle. Police are investigating.
12:03am–#Bridgeport CT– #Stratford CT–A caller near the McDonald’s on Barnum Avenue in Stratford called police for shots fired and police found nothing. About 30 minutes later a man in the 100 block of Sage Avenue in Bridgeport, not far from Barnum Avenue called police that he heard shots fired and found a bullet hole in in house. Police are investigating.
11:35pm–#Stratford CT– Report of a 2006 red Chevy Silverado with a red plow mounted on the front which was stolen last night from Maritime Motors of Fairfield, 280 Ferry Blvd.
11:45am–#Stratford CT– Report of a break in on the 200 block of Nichols Street. The complainant came home to find their back door has been forcibly opened.
10:27pm–#Stratford CT–#Bridgeport CT–Just before 10:30 Tuesday night the I&I Food Store located at 1796 Barnum Avenue was robbed by what police call the White Gloved Bandits because well, they both wear all black except for white gloves. The duo have been terrorizing and robbing businesses in Bridgeport and just recently in Stratford for a couple of months now.
Outstanding coordination by both Stratford and Bridgeport Police and detectives had an arrest by 11pm. The suspect was arrested outside 272 Benham Avenue in Bridgeport.
10:27pm–#Stratford CT–The I&I Food Store at 1796 Barnum Avenue was just hit by the “White Gloved” Bandits. A gun was displayed. Bridgeport Police are working with Stratford Police and detectives since many of the robberies have happened in Bridgeport by the duo. They are called the White Gloved Bandits because they wear all black but they wear white gloves.
1:32pm–#Stratford CT–Firefighters on the way to an out of hand fire in the fireplace at 403 Bar Harbor Road. The flue won’t open and surrounding area of the fireplace is getting really hot.
1:47am–#Stratford CT–Report of a rollover accident on James Farm Road and Chapel Street. First responders on the way. UPDATE—Hmmm, no one in the car. UPDATE–The car was registered to an address on Candlewood Road right up the street. The driver admitted to police to driving the car. That’s good because K-9 was going to find him anyways.
6:50pm–#Stratford CT–Firefighters contain a chimney fire to the chimney at 30 Grove Street in Lordship.
