Firefighters from all around the Bridgeport area paused to reflect and remember those that passed away this year. This year’s service was held at Assumption Church in Westport.

1:59pm–#Stratford–Fire Department on scene at Klondike Street for a kitchen fire. Fire department reports light smoke coming from the home. UPDATE–Bridgeport and Milford Fire Department providing mutual aid to cover stations while Stratford FD battles a blaze on Klondike Street. UPDATE– Kitchen fire spreads and leaves 7 in the family homeless, Red Cross is assisting them. The mother of the family sent to the hospital with smoke inhalation, expected to be released soon.

A quick knockdown confined the fire to the kitchen and hallway.   Heat and smoke damage throughout the home.   2 fire fighters suffered minor injuries falling through a porch in the rear.
