An officer while making a domestic arrest on Seaview Avenueby Ogden Street Extended.   I just spoke with Mayor Finch’s Press Secretary Elaine Ficcarra and she told me the officer was Lt. Kevin Gilleran and his dog was Titus.  Gilleran was brushed by the car which struck his cruiser making it unsafe to drive.  He and another officer rushed Titus to The Shoreline Animal Emergency Clinic in Shelton.  The dog is in stable condition.  Lt. Gilleran may have some bumps and bruises but should be fine, care for his dog was his top priority.   The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene, possibly to I-95.  Police are looking for a black or blue car with left side damage, I’m told it is a Chrysler vehicle and I’ve heard the car may have been stopped by Norwalk Police.
