Around 9:30pm Wednesday night fire fighters responded to a single car fire under the building at Embassy Towers, 2625 Park Avenue.  Deputy Chief Robert Petrucelli told us that firefighters quickly extinguished that blaze when residents reported there were other cars burning inside the garage.  Firefighters pressed further into the garage to find other cars burning.  Those cars were also quickly extinguished but smoke pushed up into the 15 story high rise which the ventilated.  Petrucelli told us that the evacuation went very smoothly, all the residents had evacuate before they arrived.  The fire marshal was called to the scene to further investigate.
