(Westport Ct.) On April 5, 2013 at 0930 hrs Westport Police Detectives arrested an individual who had obtained
over $30,000.00 in home furnishings and artwork by fraudulently writing checks for the items on her checking
account which did not have the funds available. All of the victim businesses were located in Westport and ranged
from large chain stores to smaller boutiques. At the time of the arrest the suspect was appearing at court for
proceedings on other similar but unrelated charges.

Arrested was the following:
Lynn Marie Scalafani, age 50 of 53 West Parish Rd Westport CT
She was charged with Larceny 1st Degree CGS 53a-122, Larceny 2nd Degree CGS 53a-123, and Issuing a Bad
Check CGS 53a-128

Scalafani was held in lieu of her court set bond of $21,000 cash only and her next court date is set for April 15,
2013
