10:51pm–#Farifield CT #Meriden CT–The owners of the Lenox Jewelry shop were taken hostage from their home on Gravel Street in Meriden and driven to their store located at  2379 Black Rock Turnpike where they forced the owners at gunpoint to open the shop and they proceeded to rob the store.  They then tied up the owners in the back of the store.  The fled in the owners silver 2009 BMW 528i which they apparently drove to the store in.  Police in Fairfield and neighboring towns were expecting the car to be quickly ditched nearby looking for Massachusetts plates 96NV02.  Side streets, parking lots and store parking lots from Easton to Stratford were searched but the car did not turn up.   The Merritt Parkway and other main roads were quickly covered by police looking for the car with no sightings    The owner’s firearm was also taken during the hostage/robbery .  Two other people were taken hostage in the Meriden residents and both police departments quickly shared information , finding all persons accountable. for.   Police are looking for five black males with white masks in the take over.
