#Bridgeport, CT – Oct. 7, 2013 – Police recovered a vehicle stolen in a reported carjacking Sunday on Wood Avenue.

Officer Raymond Ryan checked a parking garage on Poplar Street while searching for a vehicle taken in a carjacking early in the day. He located it and the detective bureau seized and towed it.

The incident happened about six hours earlier.

The victim, from Norwalk, told Officer Donald Matejek that he was sitting in his 2001 Nissan Quest when an unknown male approached, opened his door and demanded his cell phone, wallet and keys. When the victim questioned the assailant why he wanted the keys, the assailant stabbed the victim several times in the face and neck.

The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
