8:30 am–#Bridgeport CT–Two men escaped from this burning home at 478 Woodrow Avenue when smoke detectors did their job and alerted the men to the fire. It is thought to have started in the attached garage. It took firefighters led by Assistant Fire Chief Christopher Martin about a half hour to bring the fire under control.
