4:17pm  #Bridgeport CT–Chief of Bridgeport Police Joseph Gaudette  told us that as police were  investigating two individuals inside of a car in the Bayview Plaza on Boston Avenue,  one of the individuals pointed a handgun at one of the officers. This forced the police into firing on the car  . The injured suspect, a female, is currently in stable condition at St. Vincent’s Hospital.  The male suspect died as a result of the shooting.    After the incident, the police recovered two handguns from within the vehicle.   As protocol the officers were taken off duty during an investigation by Connecticut State Police.
