(Bridgeport, CT – Dec. 30, 2013) – Police identified two victims who were shot early Sunday.

The shootings do not appear to be related and both victims are expected to recover.

The first happened at 1:02 a.m. in the 200 block of Pequonnock Street.  The victim,  Mireteab Berhe, 30, of Bridgeport, suffered a gunshot wound to his right foot. A witness provided a general description of the shooter but police located no one in the area.

At 2:38 a.m., in  the 1000 block of Kossuth Street  police located  victim, David Rodriguez, 26, of Bridgeport, with a gunshot wound to his left knee. Rodriguez stated that he was outside smoking a cigarette when the occupant of a dark colored vehicle fired a shot at him.

No arrests have been made.
