Although not a local story many of our local heroes use their equipment.  The website is reporting that the fire equipment manufacturer American LaFrance has closed its doors  in three Pennsylvania plants – Moncks Corner, Pimlico and Ephrata.  American LaFrance filed for bankruptcy protection in 2008.   The company told its employees not to return to work next week and that they have reached out to their parent company Patriarch Partners.   Approximately 150 employees are now out of work, three days after the last fire truck was delivered.
