12:59am–#Bridgeport CT–UPDATE from Bridgeport Police:   A 30-year-old man was stabbed in the shoulder just after midnight this morning by a woman he knows. Officer Ferdinand Ferrao and Sgt. Edward Golding responded to the area of Park Avenue and Olive Street on a report of a stabbing. They located the victim, Brishawn Beason, of Bridgeport, who stated he was accosted by two acquaintances. He stated the female stabbed him in the shoulder while her brother was fighting with him. He only knew the suspects by their first names and believed that the attack was the result of his interest in another female. He proceeded to say that he never dated the female who stabbed him so he didn’t understand why she attacked him. The wound was described by medics as superficial and he was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center. No arrests have been made and the case was referred to the Detective Bureau.

Just before the stroke of midnight for Friday the 13th a man was stabbed outside a local store at the corner of Park and Benham Avenue.  The man who appeared to be in his twenties,  was stabbed in the upper back by a middle aged man according to radio reports.  A woman passerby kept the man dry with her umbrella as a light misty rain came down while they waited for the ambulance to arrive.  The man was able to walk to the stretcher on his own power.  He was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment.
