City Man Faces Narcotics Charges

(Bridgeport, CT – June 30, 2014) – An anonymous tip led police to arrest a city man on narcotics charges. Officer Sarah Nestlen and Matthew Goncalves responded to the 600 block of Fairfield Avenue Saturday on the report of drug activity. Police received information that the dealers hid the drugs in a small box connected with a magnet to the undercarriage of a car. Police detained two people. The owner, Darryl Woolford, 51, of William Street, granted permission for police to search the car and officers located the box where the tipster stated. Drum Set, Electronics Stolen From Church

(Bridgeport, CT – June 30, 2014) – Police are investigating a burglary of a church that happened Sunday. Officer William Brooks was sent Sunday morning to the United Tabernacle Apostolic Church at 2155 East Main St. An official from the church said the burglar gained entry my moving scaffolding in front of the building and breaking through a door. Man Detained By Woman After Car Break In

(Bridgeport, CT – June 30, 2014) – A city man was detained by two females who caught him rifling through a purse in the back seat of a car Sunday. Officer Matthew Goncalves was dispatched to the 700 block of South Avenue just after 10 p.m. and was flagged down by a two women, who reported they had found a male inside one of their vehicles going through a handbag. GOV. MALLOY:  ‘KATIE BECKETT’ WAIVER PROGRAM TO SERVE 100 MORE MEDICALLY FRAGILE CHILDREN
