10:11am–#Fairfield CT–Fire and ice would describe the situation at 333 Cornell Road this morning. The homeowner told me he had a frozen pipe he was trying to thaw.  He was using a space heater and went upstairs, within two minutes the wall in his basement was on fire.  Firefighters told me that the flames quickly jumped through a crawl space into the attic.  The homeowner credited the firefighters quick response with keeping the damage to a minimum.

Fuego y hielo describirían la situación en el 333 camino de Cornell esta mañana. El dueño de casa me dijo que tenía una tubería congelada que estaba tratando de descongelar. Estaba usando un calentador de espacio y se fue arriba, a los dos minutos de la pared en el sótano estaba en llamas. Los bomberos me dijeron que las llamas saltaron rápidamente a través de un espacio de rastreo en el ático. El dueño de casa acreditado los bomberos respuesta rápida con mantener el daño al mínimo.
