1:26am–#Bridgeport CT–Just before 1:30am first responders were called to Crown Street and Nobel Avenue, right in front of the Beardsley Park Zoo Entrance for a serious car crash. Witnesses first on scene told me they heard the crash and then thought they saw the driver of the van run from the scene. Firefighters told me that there was just one patient, the woman in the silver Nissan that was T-boned.

Firefighters worked like clockwork to not only extricate the woman from the car but also pulled the van that greatly intruded into the sedan’s driver’s compartment through banks of snow. The witnesses said they expected a serious accident due to the high snowbanks and how most drivers don’t stop for stop signs.

At this time we do not know the condition of the victim but the accident team is on scene investigating.
