Stratford News: House Fire

12:25pm--#Stratford CT--Firefighters extinguished a fire at 229 Plymouth Street.  The fire started in the basement and extended to other part of the house.  Firefighters required  three hoses to get the fire under control.  The occupants had evacuated the building prior to firefighter's arrival. Bridgeport News: 1 Person Shot

1:42pm--#Bridgeport CT--One person was shot OUTSIDE Big Daddy's Deli on 2498 East Main Street. The area is closed to traffic while police investigate.  The person shot was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, code two which means it is NOT life threatening.  I don't know what part of the body the person was shot at this time.   Police are looking for a gray  Nissan Murano with heavy tinted windows, it fled north on Noble Avenue.  As always, it's first on DoingItLocal.com, so as soon as I get more information I'll let you know!

Trumbulll News: Attempted Break In

UPDATE: Police are looking for a black BMW 5 Series with CT plates 849WZW and a Gray Volkswagen Jetta with CT Plates 263ZBM in connection to the break in.  The BMW plates are expired. 12:11pm--#Trumbull CT-- An Aspen Lane mom home with her two children hears glass break and calls police.  Police quickly arrive and find a broken slider door on the side of the house.  No one is in the house or on the property at this time.  If you live in the area and your motion lights go on for no apparent reason you may want to call police.   This report sponsored by:

Norwalk News: 2 Captured for Shots Fired

UPDATE: There was no pursuit. The police told me they did a slow roll to set up the felony stop but they did comply and pulled over. A handgun was recovered.   5:40pm--#cttraffic--Police have two in custody after a short pursuit on I-95 northbound near exit 19.  State Police, Norwalk, Fairfield and Westport Police were involved in the short pursuit.  The suspects are wanted for shots fired in Norwalk.   The state has turned off the traffic camera so I won't be able to give much of a visual update or the impact on traffic this is causing.  Its not a fatal or a threat, I'm not sure why the turned off the PUBLIC cameras.
