On Saturday May 9th, 2015 Westport Officers responded to Home Goods on a report of a disturbance. Investigating Officers learned from Home Good employees that two ladies had attempted to steal merchandise from the store by concealing it in an ottoman they had purchased. When confronted by store employees about the theft, the two ladies started an argument and created a disturbance in the store. When Westport Officers were taking one of the ladies into custody for the attempted larceny, she resisted arrest. In addition, the Westport Officers while continuing their investigation learned that the two women had given them false names.

Arrested was Shenice Green (age 28) of Bridgeport Connecticut and Mierieke Blackwood (age 28) of Bronx New York.

Green was charged with: Larceny 6th C.G.S 53a-125b, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6th C.G.S 53a-48, Interfering with an Officer C.G.S 53a-167a, Breach of Peace C.G.S 53a-181 (a)(1)(2)

Blackwood was charged with: Larceny 6th C.G.S 53a-125b, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6th C.G.S 53a-48, Green posted $1000 bond and was issued a court date of May 19th, 2015 at Norwalk Court. Blackwood posted $500 bond was issued a court date of May 19th, 2015.
