#Bridgeport, Conn. (Press Release) — The Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrest of a man for putting a two-year-old child at risk of injury.  On Tuesday, October 20,, 2015 at around 2:45 p.m., the Bridgeport Police Department received a call about a two-year old wandering on City View Ave. near the corner of Marigold Ave.  Upon arrival, police officers responded to the home on City View Ave.  Rondell Williams

 

Police officers found a man — later identified as Rondell Williams (10/12/82) — on the floor of the home. Williams was initially unresponsive, but jumped up and began moving around as police officers approached him. Police officers found the home dirty and in disarray.  Police officers located the 2 year-old male child on City View Ave.  EMS s arrived on the scene to check on the child and the suspect. The child had no injuries and was transported by ambulance to Bridgeport Hospital as a precaution.

 

Williams was highly uncooperative, noticeably slurring his words, and appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotics. Williams was arrested and put into a police patrol vehicle. While being transported to booking, Williams was very belligerent and was threatening officers. The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) was notified of the incident.  Williams was charged with Risk of Injury, Interfering with Police, and Threatening.
