#Shelton CT– (November 3, 2015): Troopers from Troop I-Bethany are currently investigating the larceny of a debit card and cash from a motor vehicle parked in the exit 13 commuter lot adjacent to Route 8 On November 2, 2015 at approx. 2:45pm Troopers from Troop I-Bethany were called to the commuter lot to investigate a larceny from a CT Department of Transportation vehicle. The complainant stated that when he returned to the vehicle, he noticed that his wallet was  removed from his lunch cooler.

Troopers later found the wallet discarded on the ground in the commuter lot, missing from the wallet was a Wells Fargo Visa Debit card along with $10 U.S. Currency. Through the course of the investigation, Troopers discovered that the debit card was used at a gas station on Bridgeport Ave. in the town of Shelton. Troopers were able to obtain surveillance footage of the suspect The suspect/s was last seen leaving the gas station in an older model grey or tan Oldsmobile, traveling southbound on Bridgeport Avenue. The upper half of the vehicle’s front passenger side door is painted black and the vehicle has damage to the front right fender. Troopers remind citizens to lock vehicle doors, and place valuables out of sight. Remain vigilante and contact police of any suspicious activity. Anyone with any information regarding the suspect/s, or suspect vehicle is asked to contact Trooper Donis at Troop I-Bethany 203-393-4200 or text “TIP711” with information to 236748. All calls/texts will be kept confidential.
