#Westport CT–On Monday, March 7, 2016 the Westport Police Department welcomed three new officers to its ranks. These officers fill the vacancies created by the retirements of three long-time officers at the end of 2015.

The ceremony took place in the Westport Police Department classroom, where First Selectman Jim Marpe administered the oath of office to each of them. The following individuals were sworn in:

Michael Morrin joins the department after a career with the Orange, CT Police Department. He attained the rank of Detective before retiring after 21 years of service.

James Sullivan joins the department after a 25-year career with the Woodbridge, CT Police Department, retiring at the rank of Sergeant.

Rachel Baron joins the department from the Ridgefield, CT Police Department, where she spent the previous 2 ½ years as a patrol officer.
